First round of betting

Forced bets
Depending on the game, forced bets can take many forms. In some games, like Omaha hold’em, players may make three blinds. In other games, like Seven card stud, the players may make two blinds. The most common ante is a quarter of the minimum bet.
Blinds
Typically, poker has two blinds. The blinds are mandatory bets that are placed by players to the left of the dealer button. These are placed before the flop is dealt.
In tournaments, the blinds allow the players to raise and play more hands. This increases the size of the pot and makes the game more competitive. In addition, the blinds make it possible to fold without losing any money.
In cash games, the blinds are not changed for the duration of the game. These are fixed for each table.
Five-card poker
Probably the first Poker variant to be taught to a new player is Five-card Draw. Often called “Guts,” this variation is a simple game that can be played with two to six players. It is usually played at home or in casinos, but it is not a popular variation in tournaments.
To play Five-card Draw, each player gets five cards from a standard 52-card deck. Then, each player has five choices: raise, check, fold, or exchange.
Courchevel
Originally a ski resort in the French Alps, Courchevel in poker has become popular on online poker sites. PokerStars started offering the game in 2013, and it has since spread to several other sites.
Courchevel in poker is similar to Omaha poker, but the game has its own twists. First, it uses two blinds instead of just one. Secondly, the game has a unique way of evaluating a hand after the flop. Lastly, players are required to use at least two hole cards in combination with three board cards.
